    The Pediatric Heart Center at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner  to join their team. This role will primarily function as a critical member of the health care team collaboratively with a group of pediatric cardiologists, pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons, advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents on primarily an inpatient basis, with occasional outpatient responsibilities.


    The Pediatric Heart Center at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital provides expert providers who are leading the way in delivering compassionate, comprehensive care for pediatric cardiac patients.  Our Heart Center utilizes a comprehensive team of cardiologists, surgeons, advanced practice providers, and care coordinators —all within a true children’s hospital setting, on a leading academic campus.


    Practice Details:

    • First assistant to the Pediatric Interventional and Electrophysiology Cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology studies.
    • Other responsibilities include admits and discharges, rounding, and pre-procedure history and physicals on patients undergoing cardiac catheterization.
    • Provide clinic coverage in the pre and post-operative cardiovascular surgery clinic
    • FTE: 1.0

    • Graduate of a school of nursing and accredited Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner training program
    • BC/BE through the PNCB, AANP, or ANCC
    • Licensed or ability to obtain APRN license with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
    • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
    • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Candidates with pediatric, inpatient or cardiology experience strongly preferred.
